About Debora

I teach Biology and Human Biology to secondary, Biology and Chemistry to high school students, with a particular focus on helping learners develop a strong understanding of fundamental concepts rather than simply memorizing information. With my background in Biology and my current studies in Medicine, I have a solid foundation in biological and health sciences and can connect classroom topics to real-life medical and scientific applications. My lessons are adapted to each student’s class level, academic goals, learning style, and areas of difficulty. I begin by identifying what the student already understands and where they need additional support. From there, I explain concepts step by step using simple language, diagrams, practical examples, and questions to make lessons easier to understand and remember. I also encourage students to ask questions freely and actively participate rather than simply listen. Depending on the student’s needs, lessons may include revision of schoolwork, explanation of difficult topics, preparation for tests and examinations, practice questions, correction of mistakes, and review of previously covered material. I believe that understanding why something works is just as important as knowing the correct answer, so I encourage students to think critically and explain concepts in their own words. Students can expect me to be patient, approachable, organized, and attentive to their individual needs. I understand that students do not all learn at the same pace, and I am willing to revisit concepts and use different approaches until the material becomes clear. I also aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. Parents can expect their child to receive personalized attention, structured lessons, and consistent encouragement. My goal is not only to help students improve their Biology grades but also to develop their confidence, curiosity, study habits, and ability to learn independently. As a medical student, I am passionate about Biology and enjoy helping students see how what they learn in the classroom connects to the human body, health, and everyday life. I want every student I teach to leave a lesson feeling that they understand something better than they did before and are more confident in their ability to succeed.
