Hello! My name is Amarachi. I’m a Biomedical Scientist currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Buea. I am passionate about science education and enjoy helping students understand concepts clearly rather than simply memorising information. I teach Biology, Human Biology, English Language and Chemistry to O Level Students. My Biomedical Science background has given me a strong foundation in biological and health-related sciences, which I use to make my lessons practical, engaging, and relevant to students. My Teaching Approach: My lessons are student-centred and tailored to each learner’s level, learning needs, and goals. I understand that students learn differently, so I take time to identify areas of difficulty and explain concepts step by step using simple language, diagrams, examples, and real-life applications. A typical lesson may include a short review of previous topics, introduction and explanation of a new concept, interactive questions and discussions, and practice exercises. For students preparing for examinations, I also incorporate past-paper questions and focus on exam techniques, answering skills, and time management. I encourage students to ask questions and participate actively during lessons. I also encourage them to explain concepts in their own words, as this helps develop deeper understanding and confidence. What Students Can Expect: Students can expect a supportive, patient, and engaging learning environment where mistakes are treated as part of the learning process. I will work with each student at a pace that allows them to build a strong foundation while gradually becoming more independent and confident. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a genuine understanding of science. I aim to provide personalised lessons that address your child’s specific needs while keeping them motivated and engaged.
