About Tanyi-Tambe
I am a third-year medical student at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Buea, with a strong academic background in the sciences, having obtained 25 points at the GCE Advanced Level and been a National Honour Roll candidate. I have two years of teaching experience with ASEND, where I worked alongside other teachers to prepare students for competitive entrance examinations into government institutions, including the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Buea (FHS UB), ENSPY, ENTSP and the College of Technology (COT UB), for programmes in medicine, engineering and other fields. What I Teach I offer lessons in Mathematics, Physics, Further Mathematics and Pure Mathematics, particularly for secondary school students preparing for examinations and students preparing for competitive entrance examinations. My lessons are adapted to each student's level, learning pace and academic goals. How My Lessons Run My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorisation. I break down complex concepts into simpler, relatable explanations, work through problems step by step, and encourage students to explain concepts in their own words. Lessons include guided examples, practice exercises, problem-solving strategies and revision to help students identify and improve their weaknesses. What Students and Parents Can Expect I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from them. I am patient, approachable and committed to helping learners develop confidence, independent thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
